Together, they offer a hands-on cooking experience rooted in traditional village food culture.

【DETAILS】

In a traditional Okinawan farmhouse, discover the wisdom of Oogimi Village, famed for longevity, through a local dining experience featuring traditional dishes and awamori made with pure spring water.
You will begin by preparing homestyle dishes with local ingredients such as papaya and pork, staples of everyday Yanbaru cuisine.
The 5th-generation head of Yanbaru Distillery, who balances both sake-making and raising four children, will warmly welcome you like family. Once the dishes are ready, you will gather around the table and share a lively meal together.
Take about two hours to savor lunch alongside awamori and spirits from Yanbaru Distillery, surrounded by the rich natural environment and local hospitality.

・Goya and Mimiga Salad
A refined appetizer combining Okinawa’s bitter melon with collagen-rich pig’s ear. The refreshing bitterness and delicate texture create a harmonious balance.

・Rafute (Okinawan Braised Pork Belly)
Pork belly with skin, slowly simmered in awamori and a secret broth. Experience melt-in-your-mouth tenderness and profound savory richness.

・Soki-jiru (Okinawan Pork Rib Soup)
A traditional soup of pork spare ribs, simmered for hours with kelp and radish to extract a deep, elegant flavor with a lingering finish.
