Shrine approaches, sake breweries, local shops, and everyday irrigation channels—all are deeply connected to water.
On this tour, you will explore the town at a relaxed pace by rental bicycle. Places that feel a bit far on foot become comfortably accessible, allowing you to enjoy the journey itself. Passing through the shrine’s main approach, you will enter its grounds and experience the tranquil forest atmosphere while learning about the town’s spiritual traditions.
The tour continues along rivers and irrigation channels, where you will see how water from Mt. Hakusan is distributed throughout the town and has long supported local life and industry. Listening to your guide’s explanations while viewing the actual landscapes brings this connection vividly to life.
Along the way, you will also stop by local shops and spots, giving you a glimpse into everyday life in the community.
